I mean. You're a shark. A GODDAMN FRIGGIN SHARK. What more do you want? No honestly.
It's super fun swimming around, jumping around, eating humans, sinking boats (or more like... causing them to explode?).
If these controls wouldnt feel so clunky at time..

Honestly? The recommended specs should be enough to get you proper performance and a good looking game most of the time.
But the game also does have huge optimization issues. I did my 100% run on my old RTX 2080 Ti/Ryzen 9 3950x setup and often times had to fight with some kind of lags, mostly stuttering.
Especially when playing the game for multiple hours at once the game just starts lagging like hell even on my new setup (RTX 4090/Ryzen 9 7950x).
After restarting the game it should be working fine again though.

Honestly the game as such isn't even that hard, but trying to get those jumps in to pick up every single collectible? Dude never again.
One also might get quickly overwhelmed by enemy forces, especially at higher threat levels.
☐ Nothing to grind
☐ Only if u care about leaderboards/ranks
☐ Isn't necessary to progress
☑ Average grind level
☐ Too much grind
☐ You'll need a second life for grinding
The amount of grind in this game might even be considers too much for some people.
Leveling and maxing out everything for the perfect 100% run quickly turns into a tedious grind job.
Teeth aren't the only thing you gonna grind here.

The story of Maneater is mostly about the fight between a man and a shark. A story of revenge.
Display Spoiler
A famous shark hunter kills your mother on a TV show, and you bight of his arm before escaping.
You grow up by eating everything including humans, especially shark hunters trying to come for your tail fin, until one day you meet again. And you bite off his leg and kill his son.
All of this is driving Scaly Pete even more crazy, causing him to come at us again with an even crazier plan which seemingly results in both you and him being killed by an explosion.
☐ Long enough for a cup of coffee
☐ Short
☑ Average
☐ Long
☐ To infinity and beyond
My 100% playthrough took me 12 hours (including the dlc) while, according to How Long To Beat, the main story is only about 8 hours and a completionist run could be anywhere between 10 to 32 hours.
☐ It's free!
☐ Worth the price
☑ If it's on sale
☐ If u have some spare money left
☐ Not recommended
☐ You could also just burn your money
The original price on Steam is 35.99€ which does feel kind of expensive, considering the problems I had with this game.
The game can certainly be a lot of fun, but especially when going for the 100% you just stumble upon one demotivating situation after another.
If the game is on sale, it's usually very well worth the price.
☐ Never heard of
☐ Minor bugs
☑ Can get annoying
☐ ARK: Survival Evolved
☐ The game itself is a big terrarium for bugs
As I already mentioned multiple times, I did encounter multiple issues which did cause me to not have fun at that time.
Especially the bad optimization of the game, which causes huge lags, especially on longer sessions, can quickly make you want to put the game asside.
When everything works out well, it is a lot of fun though.

I'd like to give the game a better rating but it's really not possible with all the issues I encountered while playing it.
I still had so much fun that I straight up bought the DLC to get the 100% on that one too.
