This review is purely based on my experience of this game. I tried my best not to let other games affect my view of this game too much and rate everything on an for this game appropriate scale! This review does contain spoilers, some of which may not be marked as such!

The game just looks beautiful. Nothing else to say honestly.

Well. You go from mission to mission, from planet to planet and execute different tasks, kill lots of enemies and destroy a lot of stuff.
The gameplay itself may sound simple, but it's definitely a lot of fun.

Great sounds, great explosions.. Bug sounds are pretty annoying, but that's because when you hear them, you know exactly what you got coming for yourself.

It's a game in which you kill bugs and bots at the moment. We might still get cyborgs and other enemies later one, just like in the first HELLDIVERS game.
Not all too brutal. The game is also big on democracy!

This game definitely needs some proper hardware. anything worse than what you see below, will probably have a hard time.

- Requires a 64-bit processor and operating system
- OS: Windows 10

At the time of writing this review the game was a whopping 74.05GB on Steam!
☐ Just press 'W'
☐ Easy
☑ Easy to learn / Hard to master
☐ Significant brain usage
☐ Difficult
☐ Dark Souls
The basics of this game are fairly easy, but the higher the difficulty the harder it gets.. obviously..
Though often times the game makes you feel like the difficulty is just raising too fast.
HD2 might feel pretty unbalanced at times.
☐ Nothing to grind
☐ Only if u care about leaderboards/ranks
☐ Isn't necessary to progress
☑ Average grind level
☐ Too much grind
☐ You'll need a second life for grinding
You'll have to grind your ass off if you want to finish every Warbond or unlock every ship upgrade.
For the warbonds you need medals. You can get those by finishing a mission, with a little bonus if you find some on the map, or by finishing personal and major orders.
For the ship upgrades you need samples. Samples can also be obtained by collecting them on a mission and extracting them successfully.
The higher the rarity of the samples, the higher the difficulty you have to play on in order to get them.
Luckily the minimum difficulty for the super samples has been reduced from 7 to 6. This can be the biggest grind in the game.
If you just want to play for fun though, without unlocking everything, then you definitely wont have to grind at all and you'll unlock stuff on the side.

☐ Lovely
☐ It'll replace your life
Helldivers 2 does have a nice story which doesn't really show too much to a new player who's just playing the game.
If you want to know about the story, you will have to look for it and especially listen!
Also FOR SUPER EARTH! FOR DEMOCRACY!
☐ Long enough for a cup of coffee

☐ Long
☑ To infinity and beyond
Just like most other COOP games of this kind (Left 4 Dead, Payday, Warhammer Vermintide) there is no real end to it.
You play as much as you want. One mission after another. You'll never finish it.
☐ It's free!
☑ Worth the price
☐ If it's on sale
☐ If u have some spare money left
☐ Not recommended
☐ You could also just burn your money
The normal price on Steam is a whopping 39.99€. The price isn't all that bad to be honest.
The game does contain ingame purchases and a premium currency, but you can easily earn that currency by simply playing the game without having to spend real money on it.
☐ Never heard of
☐ Minor bugs
☑ Can get annoying
☐ ARK: Survival Evolved
☐ The game itself is a big terrarium for bugs
HD2 got a lot of bugs. When looking at the change logs you will quickly see a huge list of known issues, which keeps growing everytime a bug is fixed.
Usually the game can be super fun, especially on lower difficulties.
But on higher difficulties you really start to notice the balancing issues and all the bugs.
They range from the targetting of a weapon not working, to enemies, especially big ones) not taking any damage at their weak spots, and sometimes even not even being able to join a game or add your friends.

I'd love to give the game a better rating, but the amount of bugs, the fact that whenever something is fixed, a new bug appears, sometimes even worse than the one that's been fixed, and the balancing decisions just don't allow me to go higher than a 7/10.
The game can be super fun, especially when playing with friends, but sometimes you're just being overwhelmed by enemies and bugs (and bug enemies).
While it's also the goal of the game to overwhelm you with enemies, it just shows that it's too much, when the whole team gets wiped and respawns right inside the enemies because they once again couldn't steer out of there, ending up dying over and over again.
Please note that I did not let the issues with Sony and their decisions as for in which countries the game can be played, and now after they went back on their decision, where the game can be bought, have any effect on my review.
I do not believe, that I should rate the game badly or complain to the developers, because Sony is making stupid decisions.
